What claims can be archived?

Question:

I have a claim, part of which was paid and the other part of it is not paid due to whatever reason. I now need to adjust/archive/write off this part of the claim so the patient account can show this or show a 0 balance. Can I do that?

Answer:

Only claims with REJECTED status can be archived. For auditing purposes, no other claims can be archived so that the physician knows what has been billed vs. paid.
