5 character OHIP billing service code

All OHIP codes are 5 characters in length. They all end in one of the following:

  • "A" – Assessments, Consultations, or procedures

  • "B" – Surgical assist

  • "C" – Anesthesia

Examples:

  1. Internal medicine assessment should be entered as A135A in the system.

  2. For Mediastinoscopy:
    ​
    ​

    • Z329A– billed by the Surgeon

    • Z329B– billed by the Surgical Assistant

    • Z329C– billed by the Anesthesiologist
