OHIP Error Code - V70 - Date of service is greater than the batch/file creation date

Background:

When claims are received by the MoH they are assigned a batch number, which confirms the claims have been transmitted to the MoH.

If there are service dates in the claim that are for a future date, and occurring later than the date the MoH creates the batch number, the claims will be rejected. Services cannot be billed for future dates.

Solution:

If the date of service is incorrect, amend the service date to the correct service date and submit the claim.

Otherwise, you will need to wait to submit the claim until the date of service has occurred. (i.e., submit the claim on the day of service or a day soon after).
