OHIP Error Code - V39 - Number of items exceeds the maximum (99)

Background:

The Ministry of Health's system was designed to only accept 2 digits for the quantity. As such, a service with over 99 units needs to be broken into two lines of service.

Solution:

Double-check the quantity submitted. If you want to submit over 99 units, break the claim into two lines of service and flag as “manual review”.
