OHIP Error Code - EQ1- Health care provider is not registered

Background:

Solo or affiliated Health Care Provider is not registered with the Ministry. The 6-digit billing number associated with this claim is not a valid billing number in accordance with the Ministry records.

Solution:

It is possible the billing number entered in the system is incorrect, and may need to be updated.

To check this, scroll over “Welcome, <Your Name>” in the top right corner of the screen (when you are logged into the system) then click on “Preferences”. In the screen that opens, click “My Details” (on the left side-bar). In the “My Details” screen, you can view and amend the information as necessary (if changes are made, click “Save” at the bottom of the screen to maintain the changes):

Your physician billing number and basic info screen

Alternatively, if the system reflects your correct billing number, contact Provider Registration to confirm your billing number and the date from which it is eligible to begin billing OHIP claims.
