OHIP error code – A2B – This service is not normally performed for this sex

Background

An A2B error represents that the gender recorded on the patient’s profile is incorrect. Some service codes are gender specific and must be billed with appropriate gender to be eligible for payment.

Solution

Check the patient’s profile to confirm the correct gender has been recorded. If incorrect, make appropriate changes, save the changes and resubmit the claim.
