Downloading reports on MDBilling.ca is designed to get you access to the information you need without disrupting your workflow. Instead of waiting on the Basic or Advanced Reports page for a report to load, you will be able to now request a report and continue working in MDBilling while it is generated in the background.

When the report is ready, you will receive a notification via the notification bell, with options to view/download the report directly from the notification. This change to how reports are generated will be made available on Monday October 6th, 2025.

How to Generate a Basic Report:

  1. Navigate to the Basic Report page under the “Reports & Forms” menu.

  3. Click the name of the report you want to generate.

    1. Further down the page under the “My Reports” section, you will see a new record added indicating that the report is in “Queued” status. The status will move to “In Progress” once the report is being generated.

    2. **You are free to continue work elsewhere on the platform. The report will be generated in the background.

4. When the report is ready, you will receive a notification via the notification bell.

For Associated Users (AUs)

There are some features specific to AUs that help you manage reports across multiple physicians.

  1. When the report is ready, you will receive a notification via the notification bell.

    • Each notification will list the report name, the date/time it was requested, and the name of the physician the report is requested on behalf of.

2. On the My Reports section of the Basic or Advanced Report page, there is a “Select Physician” dropdown, which allows you to track report generation progress across multiple physicians without flipping between physician accounts. The “Select Physician” dropdown will:

  • List all of the physicians that you have reporting access to

  • Default to the physician that you are currently logged in under

  • Allow you to search for a physician if you have a long list of physicians you manage

  • Filter the reports displayed in the My Reports table for the selected physician

Note: You can only request a report for a physician when you are logged in on behalf of that physician. Once the report is requested, you can use the notifications and My Reports section to manage/view/download reports across multiple physicians.
