MDBilling.ca processes invoices for private claims under the following programs at a rate of 15.00 per service code:

  • Blue Cross (Refugees, Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, RCMP)

  • Federal Inmates

  • UHIP

  • RAMQ

Third party invoicing is exclusively available to Concierge clients.

MDBilling will submit initial invoices but does not manage third party claim rejections, reconciliation or unpaid claim follow up.

Third party insurance providers pay physicians directly for faster payments.

Our service fee is charged upon invoice submission. However, claim approval and payment are subject to the insurer's policies, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Prior to invoicing, physicians are required to confirm and complete the following:

  • Signing of the delegation form. This form is uploaded to physician accounts via the MDBilling platform. When you have completed the form, please upload through your MDBilling account, using our secure upload tool.

  • Provide us with your current mailing address.

  • Confirm if you already have an existing Blue Cross account.

Disclaimer: Delegation Form must be completed within 30 days for us to process your claim accordingly. If the form is signed and uploaded within this timeframe, private claim(s) will be archived.

Once we receive the completed form and mailing address confirmation, we will request a provider ID from the insurer to invoice physician claims.

Blue Cross Accounts

  • Physicians will receive an email from The MDBilling Team once Blue Cross account set up is completed. Emails will contain your account provider ID, direct deposit information and a secure link where account login information and payment summaries can be accessed.

UHIP/Cowan Accounts

  • Physicians will receive an email from The MDBilling Team once UHIP account set up is completed. Emails will contain your provider ID, direct deposit information and any additional account access information.

Federal Inmates

  • Physicians are cc’d on emails sent to the federal institutions, providing them with a copy of the invoice(s).

RAMQ

  • Physicians will receive an emailed copy of their invoice(s) for their records.
