Claims can be edited or canceled after you've added them into Dr.Bill, before they've been submitted to the ministry for processing.

  • For BC, claim submission runs every 4-6 hours.

  • For ON, claim submission runs every evening around 11:00 PM EST.

  • For AB, claim submission runs daily around 10:00 AM PT.

If you need to make a change to a claim you have saved that has not yet been submitted, this can be done via the web version of Dr.Bill at app.dr-bill.ca.

If you have saved a claim, and the claim is now in "Submitted to Insurer" status, it cannot be edited or canceled. You will need to wait until the claim is returned from the ministry with an updated status before making any changes.

Once logged in to your web account, navigate to the Claims tab:

Here you will see an overview of all of your claims in our system.

Scroll down to the list of claims, and select "View" on the claim in question:

You will then be able to select "Edit" on the top right hand corner of the claim in question:

Make any necessary changes, and select Save:

Your claim will then be set for submission following the regular schedule for your province of practice.

You can even make edits to your claims after they've been paid. Simply follow the above instructions to navigate to the claims tab open the claim in question. You will then see some different options to adjust the claim as desired:

Tap on your claim and make the appropriate changes and select 'Save'.
