For treating COVID-19 patients - use diagnostic code 080 (Coronavirus) effective March 14, 2020. This diagnostic code should be used when the primary purpose of rendering the service for which the claim is being submitted is because the patient is suspected to have or has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

For treating patients who have post COVID-19 Condition (long COVID), use diagnostic code 081. Please refer to <a href="https://www.ontario.ca/document/ohip-infobulletins-2023/bulletin-230102-new-diagnostic-code-post-covid-19-condition" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">OHIP Bulletin 230102</a> for more details.
